How can I access eduroam at facilities of OÖ. Studentenwerk?

If you already have eduroam configured at your device, you can use it right away.

Normally when connecting to the WiFi called „eduroam“ your device should find all required settings automatically and ask for your eduroam credentials at first login.

Alternativley, you can download a Configuration Assistant Tool (CAT).

If you need to configure eduroam access manually, you can hold on to the following information:

WiFi name: „eduroam“

WiFi security type: WPA2-Enterprise

Authentication methods (in order of recommendation):

• Protected EAP (PEAP) (prefered option)
• EAP-TTLS
• EAP-TLS
• EAP-MD5
• EAP-Fast

Method for inner authentication: EAP-MS-Chapv2

Anonymous ID: leave blank

Deactivate CA certificate verfication, e. g. check „do NOT verify CA certificate“ or „CA certificate not needed“.

How can I get eduroam credentials?

If you are not already provided with eduroam credentials, first place to ask is the IT service of your originating institution!
A second „go to“ would be the organisation you study at or work for in Linz (e.g. JKU Linz).

If both organisations do not participate at eduroam or cannot give you eduraom credentials for any reasons, you may request them directly at our IT department:

Please note: we only issue eduroam credentials for the duration of your stay at one of our houses. As soon as you move out, your credentlials will be invalid.
