Studentenwerk?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\">IMPORTANT: Especially on Apple-devices please deactivate the option &#8222;Use random\/arbitrary\/private MAC-address&#8220;. This may cause problems with the connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you already have eduroam configured at your device, you can use it right away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Normally when connecting to the WiFi called &#8222;eduroam&#8220; your device should find all required settings automatically and ask for your eduroam credentials at first login.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alternativley, you can download a <a href=\"https:\/\/cat.eduroam.org\/?idp=8295&amp;profile=11014\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Configuration Assistant Tool (CAT).<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you need to configure eduroam access manually, you can hold on to the following information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WiFi name: &#8222;eduroam&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WiFi security type: WPA2-Enterprise<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authentication methods (in order of recommendation):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Protected EAP (PEAP) (prefered option)<\/li><li>EAP-TTLS<\/li><li>EAP-TLS<\/li><li>EAP-MD5<\/li><li>EAP-Fast<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Method for inner authentication: EAP-MS-Chapv2<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anonymous ID: leave blank<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deactivate CA certificate verfication, e. g. check &#8222;do NOT verify CA certificate&#8220; or &#8222;CA certificate not needed&#8220;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How can I get eduroam credentials?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are not already provided with eduroam credentials, first place to ask is the IT service of your <strong>originating<\/strong> institution!<br>A second &#8222;go to&#8220; would be the organisation you study at or work for in Linz (e.g. JKU Linz) or Hagenberg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If both organisations do not participate at eduroam or cannot give you eduraom credentials for any reasons, you may request them directly at our IT department:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.studentenwerk.at\/service-portal\/eduroam-credential-request\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Eduroam credentlias request form<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note: we only issue eduroam credentials for the duration of your stay at one of our houses.
